The Neck and Belly Clip
This clip is for lightly worked horses which sweat up a lot. Horses or ponies which live out can have this type of clip so long as they are sufficiently rugged up.

The Chaser Clip
This clip is for the horse which sweats but maybe is only ridden at weekends.

The Trace Clip
The Trace clip can be clipped a varying heights so more or less fur is taken off. This clip is very useful if the horse is only worked at weekends but it tends to sweat up between its back legs. In this case a low trace could be clipped)

The Blanket Clip
The most popular of the clips. This is for the horse in medium work. It has the added benefit of leaving a blanket shaped area of fur so when riding protection is given.

The Hunter Clip
This is for horses in hard work, as its name suggests hunters. The hair remains on the saddle area and the legs to give protection from the saddle and from brambles which the horse may walk through.

The Full Clip
This is for horses in very hard work which are stabled most of the time. A horse with this clip would require extra blankets especially when riding in cold weather. Usually used for competition or show horses.
The Full Trim
This is where the legs are trimmed and so is the head. This includes the jaw, bridle path and ears.
The Leg Trim
This is where the fur is trimmed from the legs from the coronet up to around the knee area including the fetlock and bulb of heel. The clipped fur is then blended in to the unclipped parts by grading the length of the fur.
Mane and Tail Pulling
We do not use the conventional way of pulling the horses mane and tail. Some of the hairs are pulled out with a pulling comb but as the job is completed the same day we do not want to hurt the horse, so, we also use a thinning comb to give the same effect. We have had numerous clients say how please they were with the results and that it was so much kinder on the horse.
